Jozy Altidore will join Hull City on a season long loan. He had been transferred to Villareal last summer for a record fee for an MLS player. The player announced the news via his twitter account and commented that the deal should be announced Thursday morning.
This will be the second time Altidore has been loaned out by the Spanish club. He had been playing at Xerez in the second division since earlier this year. Hull will be happy with the capture of the 19-year old forward since goals were hard to come by for the club during last season.
If the work permit is granted in a timely fashion Altidore will be playing his first competitive match in the premier league against title contender Chelsea.
